Discover profile fraud

Proceed to Security Insights to identify potential profile-based fraud—cases where the same identity details (for example, full name, date of birth, and gender) appear across different faces.

Upon completing flagged identity checks, Mosaic may report a repeated profile event. Depending on your configuration, the platform can either block the attempt immediately or generate a Security Insight for later review.

When a verification triggers this signal, Mosaic surfaces an insight of type Multi-Sessions Detection: Repeated Profile in Security Insights, whose details (e.g., selfie, ID picture, identity details) can be reviewed in the verification reports. To open verification reports and optionally label sessions, see Inspect verifications.

This capability helps uncover patterns such as:

  • Synthetic identities reusing or sharing personal attributes
  • Coordinated fraud attempts that apply consistent identity data to different faces
  • Attempts to bypass biometric duplication checks

Combined with repeated face detection, which highlights repeated appearances of the same face with different identity details, repeated profile detection provides a broader view of suspicious cross-session behavior.
