A verification session uniquely identifies one identity verification process. Your backend creates the session before the user starts the flow. Mosaic keeps the captured images, the verification checks, and the verification result on that session.
On creation, Mosaic allows extending the session with additional data: context and user information (see Create verification session request).
If one Identity Verification application handles several use cases, context lets you measure and analyze each one on its own. For example, you can analyze onboarding completion and account recovery completion under the same application. It also carries the use case through the rest of the journey and into detection analysis.

customer_information associates the session with your organization, the user in your system, and the business unit that owns the verification. Omit personally identifiable information (PII).
