# ClientResponseOptionType

Standard response option identifiers for [`submitClientResponse()`](/sdk-ref/react-native-ts-identity-orchestration/functions#submitclientresponse). These determine which branch the journey takes after a client-facing step.

## Members

| Member | Value | Description |
|  --- | --- | --- |
| `clientInput` | `"clientInput"` | Typical reply to a step with a main or single output path |
| `cancel` | `"cancel"` | Selects the cancel branch in steps that support it |
| `fail` | `"fail"` | Selects the failure branch in steps that support it |


Apart from these standard types, some journey steps support alternate (custom) branches. The **Branch ID** is configured by the journey author and should be used directly as the `clientResponseOptionId` parameter.

// Cancel the current step

// Custom branch (configured by journey author)
RNTSIdentityOrchestration.submitClientResponse('passkey', {
    webauthn_encoded_result: encodedResult
});
```
