# Data filtering

Within nodes, you can search and filter data in both the **INPUT** and **OUTPUT** panels. Select **Search** in the chosen panel and enter your search term.

Mosaic Workflows filters as you type, displaying objects or rows containing the term. Filtering is purely visual: Mosaic Workflows doesn't change or delete data. The filter resets when you close and reopen the node.
